Oke Oja Apapa Landlords, Tenants Association sue EKEDP to Court

The Landlords and Tenants Association of Nigeria have sued Eko Electricity Distribution Plc's Management (EKEDP) to court over in ability to provide electricity and pre-paid metters.
President of The Landlords and Tenants Association of Nigeria, Prince Rilwan Zaid Ojora Akiolu reveled the reason they sued EKEDP is due to the fact that they have failed to provide pre-paid metter for the tenants and landlords living within Oke Oja, Makanjuola, Roundabout, Ijora areas.

“We are very disappointed in Eko Electricity Distribution Plc's Management (EKEDP).
We have been very quiet about this issue for a while. The cheating is too much and unbearable again. We pay our money often before it expires. Yet we don’t get good services in return. Our light has been disconnected since last year 2018. What we are advocating for is pre-paid metters. There have been lots of extortions. And this people have lots of agents who would come to our people to collect illegal money. We want this to stop hence forth”, Prince Rilwan Zaid Ojora Akiolu said.

Meanwhile, on Thursday 31st January 2019, the hearing started at Igbosere Magistrate Court, Lagos Island where The Landlords and Tenants Association members assemble to protest against the ill-treatment of their members living in Lagos. And imploring the Minister of Power, Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola to order activation of Pre-paid metters at the areas affected in Lagos and Nigeria as a whole.
The case has been adjourned till Wednesday 13th February 2019.
Our efforts to reach out to Eko Electricity Distribution Plc's Management at the time of this reports proved abortive, we called their direct line 07080655555. No one picked up.
