Wizkid invited by policemen at Zone 2 Command today

Wizkid and his manger Godwin Tom were invited by men of the Nigeria Police Force - Zone 2 Command, Onikan, today June 19th after students of the University of Lagos reported the music star to the police.

The students claim that Wizkid collected N500, 000 from them as full payment for a show that was supposed to hold at UNILAG Sports Centre on May 24th tagged Concert of Life. They claim Wizkid didn't show up for the show and didn't return their money so they went to the police.

Wizkid was at Zone 2 for a few hours this afternoon with his team. He was bailed by his lawyer after he wrote a statement and was asked to report back to the station next week.

I reached out to Wizkid's camp but they kept mum on the matter. But someone privy to the case said they believe an impostor collected the money and not Wizkid. Hopefully, Wizkid's camp will eventually release a statement clearing the air.

MI, Ice Prince, NaetoC, Dr SID, Celebrate Lokoja fans at Star Trek

That was the promise superstar artistes performing at the 2nd leg of the Star Music Trek  which held on  June 15^th 2013 in Lokoja made before the concert and music lovers who trooped out in their numbers yesterday to Lokoja stadium were not disappointed. 

The second leg of the annual Star Music Trek concert lived up to its high billing and more. The event, which featured high energy performances from MI, Jmartins, IcePrince,Dr Sid, Naeto C, Jukebox and others,was rated by fans as being undeniably the biggest concert in Lokoja in 2013.

 

Thousands of excited fans who came from Lokoja, Jos, Abuja and other surrounding states were treated to some of the hottest music in Nigeria from winners of Star Quest Nigeria. Jukebox, hip hop Mavin super act, Dr Sid, prolific rapper and entertainer, Naeto C, multi award winning artiste, IcePrince, Africa’s number one rapper, MI, multi award winning artiste, JMartins, as well as other local Lokoja talents.

 “This is my first time in Lokoja and I’m really happy to be there” said multi talented rapper, Naeto C, who drew fans in a rush from all corners of the stadium who were itching to catch a glimpse of him.

 “It doesn't get any better than this, noted MI, as he worked the crowd to fever pitch, you guys make the effort we put into making these concerts a tremendous success, worth it.”With an exciting live band, JMartins offered his signature powerful performance and also managed to stun a loyal fan, Musa Isa, as well as the entire audience with a surprise gift to him of a watch valued at over $10,000. Music lovers were seen dancing and singing along to the hit makers through out the night with many clutching and exchanging concert memorabilia.

To wrap up the night was multi award winning rapper, entertainer and label executive, MI, whose usual mix high octane performances laced with wit, humour and panache proved a superb finish to an already outstanding evening. 

Other artistes who will be performing at the nation wide event include 2face, D’banj, Psquare, Timaya, Wande Coal, Obesere, Mr Raw, DrSid, JMartins, Naeto C, Tiwa Savage, Sheyi Shey, and many others.

Music fans in Aba, Abeokuta,Agege, Asaba, Enugu, Nnewi, Owerri,and Surulere are not left out as the concert will also tour these cities over the next two months. The Star Music Trek Presents The Trek ends with a ajor finale on August 10^th at National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
