Stupendously rich American businessman Bill Gates once said ‘Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose’. When the Microsoft wizard made the above quote, little did he know he was preparing another great mind in Nigeria in the person of Sijibomi Ogundele who has broken barriers to emerge one of the youngest czars in business world.
This is because at only 33, Sijibomi Ogundele has emerged one of the biggest boys on the Island who is making things happen; and with the zeal he entered the business world, he feels he can’t just lose.
The young man who has a humble beginning is at the moment the center of discussion in Lagos circle for what he has been able to achieve in just 33 years of staying on the fourth planet.
Very articulate Sijibomi who sits atop Sujimotors and Constructions didn’t just get to where he is today; he was able to climb the ladder of success through dint of uphill-struggle, pliability and perseverance to emerge as one of the richest young men in the country. With what he is dabbling into the business world, young Sijibomi who started his life in Agege, one of the suburbs of Lagos is putting Nigeria’s name on the global map especially in the real estate and construction trade.
Sijibomi has gradually become the biggest young property owner in an exclusive Ikoyi area of Lagos with the newly completed world-class luxury apartments, Medici Terraces, located on Milverton Road, Ikoyi.
The property which he acquired not too long ago, has turned to a beauty to behold in just few months he started constructing the mansion.
With offices in Paris, Accra, Madrid, Dubai and Riyadh, he has indeed stamped his feet solidly in the Nigerian business world with nothing but perfection and class rooted in his mind.
Sujimoto Group has continued to blaze the trail with an international network of partners, such as Fortune 100 Company Alhaji Group, which is known to be the wealthiest non-royal family group of companies in the Middle East. Sujimoto Group has helped the Alhaji Group and its other partners to locate and analyze business opportunities in the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
Sijibomi didn’t just wish change in his journey to embrace success, he actually lived the change in order for it to become a reality. That is why at a very young age, the then young lad would leave his suburb Agege to be at the Ikoyi Polo Club; his mission then was to be like the rich and opulent so as to emulate their unique lifestyles.
Today, Sijibomi is not just a member of the residents of Ikoyi, but has emerged as a member of the Landlords Association with about seven property listed as his.
The maverick businessman had his turn around in life when he met a Japanese university professor, Dr. Sujimoto Koga who boosted his confidence to believe in himself and take on life as it comes.
Since then, Sijibomi has never allowed his background to affect his confidence.
Aside the Ikoyi buildings, he has just acquired some other property on the noveau riche Bourdilon Avenue where he hopes to build a 100-unit hotel apartment. The project will start next year and will be completed in the same year. For Sijibomi, he has seen and has conquered and he’s still on the verge of netting more accolades in the business world.
