Government Shut Down Ogba Retail & Sunday Market!!!

As you are reading this story, the popular Sunday Market along Wempco Road, Ogba, Lagos has been shut down since two weeks now. According to inside sources, government accused them of littering the gutter with waste and environmental pollution which has been affecting the new road constructed. It was also gathered that, the government has promised to build a modern day market on the land instead of the open space occupied by the market women. This we gathered has affected the Ogba Retail Market where there are over 500 lock-up shops. We were told that the new market should accommodate even pepper, yam, fish, meat and vegetable sellers as it used to be before the demolition and reconstruction.

While stressing that necessary consideration be given to some shop owners that once bought containers in the market from the former developer of the market, the report also ordered that the sum of N150,000 should be given to shop owners that do not want to be relocated to containers in the interim, as compensation.

Former leaders and members of the All Progressive Congress, (APC), who recently resigned their membership of the party in Benin City, are presently engaged in a fight to finish over the sharing formula of $1million transportation fare allegedly given to them by the national leadership of the PDP when they conferred with President Goodluck Jonathan at the villa in Abuja. 

Aggrieved leaders of the APC after failing to deliver their loyalists at the concluded wards and local government congresses threatened to dump the Adams Oshiomhole led APC in state, a threat the governor shunned. 

APC leaders who stormed Abuja to negotiate their defection were the former Secretary to the Edo government, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the Eson of Benin Kingdom, Chief Amos Osunbor, former state chairman of ACN, Chief Tony Omoaghae, Frank Arewele, Chief Evelyn Igbafe including some lawmakers. 

The defecting APC members and their loyalists were said to have met President Goodluck Jonathan and the chairman board of trustees of PDP, Chief Tony Anenih and Edo billionaire businessman, Captain Hosa Okunbor. 

The largesse was said to been given to the aggrieved APC leaders with a promise to deliver Edo State back to PDP in the 2015 general election and the 2016 governorship poll in the state. Pastor Osagie Iyamu and Chief Amos were said to have disagreed over the sharing formula which is currently threatening their collective agenda to dump the APC for PDP. While other members who grumbled secretly vowed to expose the leaders for what they term “personal and selfish interest” of the leaders.

While we can’t help but wonder what Jay Z did to deserve that kind of attack from Solange, his sister in law has taken a step further by deleting all Beyoncé’s pictures from her instagram page leaving only the picture above which she uploaded over a year ago. 
Solange apparently took down the photos after the attack on Jay Z on Monday night, May 5th, but it’s not clear if it was before or after the video was released by TMZ yesterday. While some sites are reporting that she took them down before we all knew what happened, some claim they observed she took them down immediately after the video was released.

Kidnapper Set Ablaze By A Mob In Abule Egba, Lagos

The woman pictured above was accused of attempting to to kidnap the primary school pupils in the Ekoro area of Abule-Egba, Lagos yesterday May 6th. Eye-witnesses claim the woman stopped the kids, who were aged 7-10 years as they were going to school, and asked to take them to school. 

Then a female hawker in the area, suspecting the woman was up to no good, alerted others in the area who then surrounded the woman and started asking her questions. They say the woman they were her children but couldn’t give their names and the direction she was taking them wasn’t where their school was…plus the children said they didn’t know her and before anyone could stop it, they descended on the woman. Beating her to a stupor and then setting her ablaze.
