Nizzy Drops New Single, Drumstick

Necy Rasaki, known by his stage name Nizzy is a Nigerian singer and song writer. Nizzy was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Nizzy has relished music since he was a young boy. His parents are devout Christians, and he grew up singing and listening to music. He started singing and writing his own songs at the age of fourteen, and performed in several talent shows in his high school and the local community. He relocated to London, England to further his education and pursue his dreams of a career in music. In the same year he released his first official single, Expect featuring Kome and Pech. Nizzy has a great love and appreciation for Afro-centred music (for example; Afro-Bashment, Afro-Reggae and Afro-House). He is greatly inspired by Fela Kuti, ‘the Father of Afrobeats’ and his favourite artists are Asa and 2face, as he admires the distinctive style of their music. Although his music ultimately falls into the genre of Afrobeats, Nizzy also draws inspiration from RnB, Blues, Hip Hop and Dancehall music. It is the blending of these different genres that gives his music such a unique flavour and distinguishes his sound from other artists. Nizzy is signed to Allstar Records, and is currently working on his debut album.

BEWARE! INEC DECLARE YOU WITH MORE THAN ONE VOTER”S CARD WANTED

Jonathan Sets Up Panel To Probe Oduah’s Car Scandal, Gives Two Weeks

President Goodluck Jonathan has set up an administrative panel consisting of 3 members for the purpose of investigating the armoured car scandal related to the aviation minister Stella Oduah.

It was made known by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati, in the course of the weekly meeting of the Executive Council of the Federation.

The body will be chaired by the immediate past Head of Service, Sali Bello.

According to the information provided, other members include the National Security Adviser Colonel Sambo Dasuki, and Air Vice Marshal Dik Iruenebere.

Mr. Abati also confirmed Jonathan had queried Mrs. Oduah asking her to provide explanations on the controversial purchase.

The new panel of enquiry should find out whether the purchase of the vehicles for about N255 million followed due process or not and also investigate the reasons for vehicles procurement.

Mr. Abati did not state if the minister would step aside while she is being investigated. Mrs. Oduah was conspicuously absent at Wednesday’s FEC meeting.

It was mentioned that the panel was given two weeks to conclude its task and give the President the necessary recommendations regarding the issue.

BlackBerry Resumes BBM Rollout For iPhone, Android Users

BlackBerry has officially resumed the release of its BlackBerry Messenger app for Android and iPhones.

Samsung customers in Nigeria and other sub-Sahara African countries can now download the BBM app from the Samsung Apps Store, while iPhone and other Android-based smartphone users will be able to download the app in three days’ time, a release from BlackBerry yesterday indicated.

The deployment was halted last month when an unauthorised copy of the app was leaked for Android smartphones and caused problems with the BlackBerry Messenger platform.
