The 2015 governorship election fever is in the air and politicians are not sleeping with their two eyes closed for the fear of the unknown. With the spade of recorded history of political assassinations in the country, Nigerians politicians are not toying with security issue. This is definitely the season of security personnel to make mega bucks from doing what they know how to do best. Aside sitting governors who moves around with security details, governorship aspirants too have also employed the services of hefty body guards to follow them wherever they are going.
And one of such aspirants is Akinwunmi Ambode, one of the governorship aspirants of Lagos State under the platform of APC. Before now, Ambode used to move around freely without any single security man by his side. This is not the case again as we reliably gathered that Ambode now attends occasions with stern-looking and hefty body guards. At a recent occasion held at Muson Centre, Lagos which had Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and virtually all APC public office holders in attendance; from L G Chairmen to Lagos Assembly lawmakers, APC governors, Reps. members as well as Senators, Ambode was spotted with body guards who escorted him in and out of the hall. Aside the event, he has been seen with security guards virtually everywhere he went now.
