Chocolate City is suing Brymo for breach of contract. The legal tussle between entertainment company, Chocolate City, and artiste, Olawale “Brymo” Ashimi, continued on Wednesday at the Federal High Court in Lagos, before Justice Buba.
However, it was adjourned till March 4 following an exchange of derogatory words between Brymo’s lawyer, Nike Olagbede, and Chocolate City’s counsel, T.O Lawal – who is replacing C.O. Madubuko.
Defending the adjournment, Justice Buba said, “I will adjourn this case because the counsels have failed to portray themselves according to the stipulations of the court and acted with complete disregard to the court’s regulations.”
The case which began on November 11, 2013 has now been adjourned four times: December 5, 2013, January 14, February 26, and now March 4.
Chocolate City is suing Brymo for breach of contract. After leaving the Audu Maikori helmed label around June, the singer, whose seven years contract was allegedly yet to expire, independently released his third studio album, Merchant, Dealers and Slaves in October, 2013…. Credit punch
