First Consultants Medical Center Releases Official Statement On Ebola Virus Disease

Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, the Nigerian physician who died in Lagos this week, was mistakenly exposed to the Ebola Virus Disease at the First Consultants Medical Center in Ikoyi where she worked and attended to Patrick Sawyer, the patient who brought EVD into the country. 

But she was heroically instrumental to preventing a massive outbreak in the country, an effort she paid for with her life last Tuesday.

Gov. Mimiko Joins PDP, Dumps LP

After months of speculations, the Ondo state governor,

Dr Olusegun Mimiko on Friday formally declared his intention to 

join the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). 

In effect, Governor Mimiko has dumped his party, Labour Party(LP)

he has sustained as its only governor and national leader since 2006.

The governor has already informed members of his cabinet and 

close political associates in a chain of meetings which took place 

on Friday at the Government House Akure. Some of his aides were 

already on their way to their various local government areas 

as at the time of this report to inform their constituents of the governor’s

decision.

That may never happen: El-Rufai made the declaration following a question from one of his followers on twitter, he said about joining PDP

“When do you plan defect?...When Satan repents and converts to Islam, I will consider the option and reject it
El-Rufai was a former stalwart of the PDP under the Olusegun Obasanjo tenure, and he is saying never and we are saying never say never because that was what Ribadu once said.

Ebola Infected Doctor, Ameyo Stella Adadevoh Is Dead!

Dr. Stella Adadevoh the consultant physician who treated Nigeria’s index Ebola case is dead.She was the first Nigerian to be diagnosed of Ebola Virus Disease after treating Liberian-American Patrick Sawyer, who imported the EVD to Nigeria. The Liberian passed away on July 25 and the late doctor had been in Isolation where she was receiving treatment till she passed. She was a Senior Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist at the First Consultant Hospital. May her soul rest in peace.
