Fathia Balogun In Hot Romance With Fuji Star, Alao Malaika

The news of entertainment personalities getting involved in a love relationship shouldn’t come as a surprise to people around the world especially in our showbiz environment.

Many showbiz players have dated to the extent of signing life contract. However, the new news that just filtered in from the grapevine that star actress, Fathia Balogun and Fuji star musician, Sulaimon “Malaika” Alao Adekunle are in hot romance is gradually generating a lot of heat especially from close friends who are aware of the union.
We authoritatively gathered that the two gifted showbiz personalities are sailing together on a love boat at the moment. Their romance is waxing stronger by the day although our sources maintained that both Malaika and Fathia have been friends for many years, however they moved to the next level by singing love tunes to each other’s ears.

Many could not come to terms with the romance because it is a known fact that before now, the fuji artiste was in a love relationship with Fathia’s younger colleague, Sikiratu Sindodo.

The love affair between Malaika and Sindodo weathered a storm not too long ago when the latter took ill that almost terminated her life. After she survived the illness with Malaika standing firm by her side through the ordeal, they renewed the love affair and many thought it would last forever- at least for now.

But before anyone knew what was happening, the good-looking fuji star decided to embark on a love journey with the pretty ex-wife of Saidi Balogun.

It was also gathered that both Malaika and Fathia have been friends while Saidi Balogun was her husband but since Fathia’s marriage crashed, she has been searching for a companion.

We gathered that Alao Malaika has been her confidant and adviser. Besides, their relationship is very cordial as we learnt. As a result of the relationship, Fathia Balogun has linked the Fuji Music star with some shows in Ikorodu, where the actress resides. In fact, it was learnt that Fathia Balogun invited Malaika to perform at her son’s birthday last month which was held in Ikorodu. Though, the pretty actress has not said anything in the press since the rumour started but Malaika has opened up that Fathia Balogun has been her friend since she was dating Saidi Balogun.

“Well, Fathia Balogun has been my friend since. She is my friend till now, Malaika said.

Meanwhile, since Saidi and Fathia parted ways years back, many moves have been made to reconcile them but all have proved abortive. Fathia has been linked with Corporate Pictures boss after she separated from Saidi Balogun. She has also been under pressure to settle down with a man which we learnt has been the objective to hook up with the Fuji Star, Alayeluwa Malaika.

Nevertheless, Malaika’s romance with actress, Sikiratu Sindodo has been on for almost five years now. And, he has not also denied it in the press. We gathered that Fathia Balogun’s new movie she is working on currently would feature the Fuji Musician, sources said.

‘I wish to remain in Mavin Records’ – Wande Coal denies setting up own label

The rumours have been circling that Wande Coal might be leaving MAVIN Records to set up shop on his own.

But the bestselling singer-songwriter says nothing could be farther from the truth.

Several media had reported the talented singer was on the verge of leaving the MAVIN camp to setup his own outfit ‘Black Diamond Records‘.

However, in a statement released on the MAVIN website, Wande denied the news stating that ‘there have been no such plans’.

‘There have been no such plans, and I wish to remain in Mavin Records. ’Mavin Records is my family and will always remain so. I want to thank all my fans for continuing to support me. We still have a very long journey ahead’, Wande Coal said in the statement.

But the rumours are nothing new. Before Mo’hits packed up, it was generally believed Wande, one of the label’s more promising properties, was seeking a way out. He spent the first lines of a recent single ‘Been long you saw me‘ addressing those rumours.

Now that they’re resurfacing at Mavin, pundits are wondering if there’s more to the speculation? ‘There has to be a reason why he’s the only one being rumoured to be leaving. He has either considered it, or discussed the possibilities with people. But generally, I believe there’s something fuelling all the talks’ one industry insider who asked not to be named told us this morning.

Wande Coal (real names: Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe) hooked up with Don Jazzy and D’banj and got signed to the defunct Mo’hits records in 2006. He released his debut ‘From Musin 2 Mo’Hits’ in 2008 to wide critical and commercial acclaim.

It’s back to the White House as Obama wins 2012 President elections!

Four more years…That’s how the first black US president announced his victory, winning to stay in the White house for a second term.
President Barack Obama has defeated Governor Mitt Romney and won himself a second term Tuesday, November 6, 2012 after what has been described as ‘a bitter and historically expensive race’.
Obama is reported to have beat Romney after nabbing the crucial state of Ohio. It was however a tight race as Republican candidate Mitt Romney brought on a fierce challenge. Obama made a great head start with a 265 win in the states of Iowa and New Hampshire, leaving Romney behind with a 191 votes.
Obama hit the electoral point of 274 with Romney at 201, automatically making him the elected president. Ohio has a great history for Republicans as no republican president has ever won presidency without winning ohio.
Romney also failed to win in Wisconsin and Florida regarded as battle states showing that democrats were more preferred. Significantly, Romney lost even in his home state of Massachusetts.
We’re all in this together. That’s how we campaigned, and that’s who we are. Thank you. This happened because of you. Thank you’, Obama thanked those who voted via micro-blogging site Twitter.
More than 30 million voters cast early ballots in nearly three dozen states.

Ayuba denies being assaulted by MOPOL officers

Fuji maestro Adewale Ayuba has denied the reports saying he was assaulted by some members of the Mobile Police unit (MOPOL) last week in Ibadan.
Ayuba, who  was billed to perform at the final burial ceremony of Pa Olatubosun Mainde in Ibadan, arrived at the venue of the event later than expected.
There were unconfirmed reports claiming when Ayuba stepped into the venue, he was apprehended by the officers and assaulted until guests pleaded on his behalf.
But the ‘Bonsue Fuji’ star who is one of the directors on the board of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) the news of the alleged MOPOL assault came as a shock. According to him, nothing of such happened.
I was surprised to read in some newspapers and on some internet blog sites that I was beaten at an event in Ibadan. That is a lie. It will be unthinkable for anyone to order that an artiste be beaten just because he didn’t come for an event on time. Even though I have apologized to my clients over the issue, let me state my unreserved apology once again. The fault was not mine but there is no point over flogging the issues any longer’, Ayuba said.

He then went on to give his own account of what happened:

I was caught up in the traffic like so many other Nigerians on that fateful day. I left my house about 7 am in the morning for the event that was to start by 3pm on the same. By calculations, I should be in Ibadan by 9am, but alas! The road was blocked. Apparently a trailer had fallen and blocked the entire road, making it impossible for any car to pass. The relevant agencies obviously had no answers and Nigerians like me were held in that traffic for hours on end. At some point, I alighted from the car and had to take a motorcycle (Okada) just so that I meet up. Once again let me state categorically that I was not beaten by anyone, not by area boys or any police officer’.
Ayuba also debunked the rumour that he was performing at another show which made him late and thanked MC-comedian Gbenga Adeyinka for his open-handedness in controlling the ‘tensed situation’ before and after his event.

EXCLUSIVE: Rapper Eva dropped from Trybe Records

It official.SHOKISHOMBOLO can authoritatively tell you that the contract between rapper Eva Alordiah and popular record label Trybe Records has been dissolved.
The news was made known by the management of Trybe Records in a statement exclusively released to SHOKISHOMBOLO. It reads:
Trybe Records and Eva Alordiah have agreed to terminate her recording contract effective immediately. Trybe Records’ vision is to discover and nurture the talents of our artists while operating with purpose, valuing relationships with our partners within the industry, and being persistent in creating and releasing quality music. Unfortunately, over the past 5 months Eva’s vision has not aligned with ours and thus, both parties have agreed to separate.
We wish Eva the best in her future endeavors and plan on continuing towards our goal of creating quality music for Nigeria and beyond‘.
SHOKISHOMBOLO investigations however reveal that the label is being modest with the statement. Inside sources told us Eva had since her signing in June been more than a handful to manage and/or coordinate with, demanding for more than what she was offered at all times and that the label was basically ‘tired of her antics’.
She never fit in from the start, always trying to stand out from the rest. She was always asking for more even when eLDee and co gave her an almost perfect platform to blow up‘, a friend close to the rapper tells us.

Eva might look like a rookie but some would tell you she does has a bit of history in the entertainment world. Right before her footling prominence and hook up with Trybe, she had worked with a few other managers-promoters.
Eva’s name was first heard while working with rapper M.I on his debut album, after a bit of running, she hooked up with former COOL FM OAP BooBoo who worked as her manager along with Obinna Agwu. Problems prevailed and they call it quits.
Eva also met up with PXC director MEX who tried signing her to his budding label but both parties fell out after she was allegedly ‘always rude’ to him, according to those familiar with their relationship.
