Atawewe, Oba Ara and Queen Zeidat bag NIJ award




It was indeed a fun and encomium  galore penulmate  week, when the top fuji muscian, Ambassador Sule Adio Atawewe popurlaly known as Etu or Akile of fuji, talentend singer of God, Evangelist Rotimi Onimole otherwise known as Oba Ara and  beautiful and Queen of azkir, Oueen Zeidat Almubarak also known as Queen of zikir  honoured by the students of first Nigeria monotechic and institute of Journalism, Nigerian Institute of Journalism, Ogba, Lagos during the student"s week  for their contributions and  efforts  in promoting the genres of music they reprensented. Atawewe who also known as Baba Oloye or Mr.Spirit by fuji lovers was honoured for his contribution  for the development of fuji music in Nigeria and diaspora.Oba Ara was given a meritorious and outstanding award as best  gospel singer in the country while Queen Zeidat was honoured as outstanding islamic singer.

The event which took place at the main  auditorium of the institution has in attedance all students, lecturers, school management, Baale of Omole land, Alhaji Nasiru, the CEO of notable catering firm known as Esther Pot and other notable invited quests.After she received her  award, Queen Zeidat thanked the entire NIJ"s students and the management for the honour given to her. She said the award will definitely add to his profile among her peers in Islamic music cycle because no Islamic musician in the country has received such prestigious award, Zeidat said, though she has received a couple of awards previously but the NIJ award is very  dear to her heart.In his word, Oba Ara said the honour bestowed. On him by NIJ would spour  him to work harder, he said the award humbled him and made him to belief that people are watching what they are doing and he however thanked the entire  students and management of NIJ for the honour. 
Atawewe who was in far away United State of America for musical tour was able reprensented by his media aide, Mr Ayo Mojoyinola, Mojoyin while receiving the award apologised on behalf of Atawewe for his inability to receive his award by himself.He said that Atawewe cherished the award and promised to play for the students after their examination when he returned from the state.The president of students representative of the school Mr Ojebola said the awardees were honoured for the contribituon in to the development of music in Nigeria and diaspora and also thanked the students and management for utmost support during the student week celebration
