GOV. FAYEMI SHUNS PUBLIC EVENTS

…Assigns role to Commissioners
That Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has failed in his bid to return to office for second term after the expiration of his tenure is a conspicuous truth. He lost to Ayodele Fayose of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in an election political pundits admitted that the Ekiti people spoke with their vote. After the election, series of events have been coming up within and outside the state as regards the election, but the bottom line is that Dr. Fayemi was roundly defeated and he has accepted his defeat in good fate.

Though the leadership of his political party, All Progressives Congress (APC) are contesting the result of the election and the circumstances that led to the defeat of their candidate in court. The convenient truth is that it is only a matter of time before Fayose is swear in as the new elected governor of Ekiti State. However, as Dr. Fayemi is getting set to leave Ekiti State government house, we learnt that he has slow down his appearance in public occasions. Months before the election, Governor Fayemi, according to sources close to him, had a tight schedule and he ensured he was present at virtually all the events, but same cannot be said of him now as he rarely go to events again. The reliable sources further stressed that even event that demands his presence in the state he seldom attend them, but he sends his commissioners to represent him there.
