Good things are really happening to Nigerian artistes. It's been a week of car acquisitions for some. Wande Coal, just like Praiz, recently made delivery of a Mercedes GL 450 4matic. Below is the picture of the car. Could it be a coincidence that both acts acquired similar cars or a well thought out plan to do so? Talent truly makes one successful like the bible said. Congrats to you Wande Coal.

After Winning BBA’s $300,000! Kenya Man Emerges, Say’s I’m Dillish’s Father

A week ago, Africa’s biggest reality show, Big Brother Africa (BBA) crowned Dillish Matthews the winner of BBA- The Chase. The same week, a Namibian journalist exclusively interviewed Dillish where she said she was looking for her biological father. Dillish has never come face-to-face with him and only learned about him from her mother. And now, a Kenyan man, who claims to be Dillish’s father has come out to say he fathered Dillish during his peacekeeping mission in Namibia. Her mum once said she lost contact with her real dad when he stopped replying her letters.

"Why I Was Naked In The Big Brother House" - Beverly Osu (PHOTO)

Ex BBA Housemate talks about her relationship with Angelo and her experience in the Big Brother house.

24 hours after she arrived Nigeria, BBA The Chase finalist Beverly Osu was rushed to Faith City Hospital, Oju Olobun Close, off Bishop Oluwole Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The BBA star was admitted for treatment due to a sprain ankle she suffered in the BBA house, a day to the finale.
For 91 days, the video vixen entertained Africa with so many tales of her life experiences and of course, the widely condemned sexual encounter that resulted from an in-house love affair between her and another housemate, Angelo Collins
The one question everybody wanted to know was why she succumbed to her sexual urges and having sex with the South African while the entire continent watched.
I did not have sex in the house, I never had sex in the house. I had a relationship with Angelo Collins but we didn’t have sex. Nothing happened between me and Angelo. Though there were awkward moments, we never had sex. I know what happened then between us but we never got down to have sex’, she insists.
Rumour has it that Angelo has a girlfriend, but Beverly doesn’t seem to care. ‘I don’t want to talk about his so called girlfriend because I don’t know anything about her’.
Does she see a future in the relationship, she says, ‘We talk every day. He loves me and I still love him. I would get married to him if I had the chance.’
Of course on the issue of nudity she says, ‘all of us take our baths naked. So I shouldn’t be different because I went for a reality show. I shouldn’t be different from every other person, because I didn’t bring out my videos, Big Brother did so I should not be judged, and I represented Nigeria well’.
Particularly known for her fabulous stories: from abortion to rape to sleeping with men for money and dating musicians, she seems not to regret her actions at all. ‘I’m a very open person. Melvin knows, he stayed with me for 91 days. I say what’s on my mind, and for me to reveal myself to the world, it didn’t look like I was revealing myself to the world’, she said, ‘I was talking too much, maybe, but I’m on a reality show. I don’t regret saying the things that I said about me and my family, because if I have to be on this platform, people have to know the real me and what I’ve been through.’
As much as she discussed her mom’s ugly past on terrestrial television, her mom’s love was never lost from her side. ‘I can never go out of my way to disgrace and disappoint my mom intentionally. She has lectured me properly. And even if the whole world rejects me, my mom can’t reject me. I love my mom so much. I am her only daughter and last born. I’ve always been there for her and she’ll always be there for me.’
Her conduct in the house has been termed an embarrassment to Nigeria as a country, and Beverly apologises, ‘I don’t feel happy about it since this will be the first time I will be representing Nigeria… I’m sorry for embarrassing my country. I didn’t do it intentionally. My participation in the show was not to embarrass my country‘.
Was 2shotz the rapper boyfriend Beverly claimed was constantly abusing her? ‘No. I wasn’t referring to him. For me, 2shots is history. Thank you for reminding me about him.’
She may have lost out on the $300,000 prize money, but she made history by becoming the first BBA contestant that was never nominated for eviction since the inception of the African franchise of the television series in 2003 and for that she says,  ‘I broke a record… I made Nigeria proud’.
Beverly has come out of the show a celebrity, whether for the right reasons or the wrong, but she is hoping to roll on with the little fame she has achieved. ‘Before I left, I had a show called ‘Beverly Says’ and I’m back to push it. If you guys watched Big Brother, you would be very sure that I can act, so I’d go into movies, but then, I have to finish school because I’m in my 200 level.’

Guards Help Robbers To Steal From Pharmaceutical Firm

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two security guards, Ali Salifu and Eno Kela, with seven others for allegedly robbing pharmaceutical company, May and Baker, in Ikeja Indusrial Estate.

Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, told PUNCH Metro that the arrested guards gave other security men in the company some packs of juice laced with a banned drug, Rohypnol, to make them sleep when the robbery was taking place.
She added that policemen attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad were, however, able to foil the operation after some hours of surveillance.
She said, “On August 24, 2013, SARS operatives received information that some robbers were planning to rob May and Baker at Ikeja. Around 9pm, the robbers had duplicated a key to the warehouse where the company’s products were kept. We learnt that some of the security guards had connived with the robbers after being promised N200,000.
“The robbers also gave the security men laced juice and told them to give it to other security men at the company to make them sleep. The robbers came in two trucks and were loading cartons of two expensive drugs, Sulphatride and Thyzamide, into the trucks when they were apprehended.
“Policemen from SARS stormed the place and foiled the robbery. The robbers, who were in possession of two AK-47 rifles, immediately threw their guns into the warehouse when they saw the policemen.
“The robbers and the prospective buyer of the stolen goods have all been arrested.”
The suspects, however, said they were not armed during the robbery.
The security guards also denied complicity. They said they did not know that a robbery was taking place on the premises until policemen arrived at the scene.
Salifu said, “They had approached me before, saying they wanted to rob and they would give me N200, 000 but I refused. On the day they came, they told me they were going to another company. I did not know they came to rob.”
The suspect accused of masterminding the operation, Olanrewaju Simeon, said this was his second time of robbing the company.
Simeon, who claimed to have been in charge of the company’s security before his dismissal in 2011, said he was expecting N1m from the operation.
He said, “I have been jobless since I was asked to leave the company in 2011. But I understand how things are done at the company. Last year, I successfully robbed the place and made N1m. This year, I got in touch with another security guard at the company, Richard, who gave me the go ahead to rob.
''May and Baker shares the compound with five other companies, so the security guards at the main gate are different from those attached to May and Baker. I understood this very well and Richard told me that he would get some drinks, inject them with Rohypnol and give them to the security guards at May and Baker, telling them that he was celebrating his birthday.''
