Don Jazzy Reacts To KSB's Accusation

Don Jazzy, the Marvin boss has reacted to the allegation another entertainer leveled against him and his entire Marvin Record crew that they are the reasons rape cases is rampant in the country due to the kind of songs they reel out.
Reacting to such comment, Don Jazzy simply put that "the accusation is baseless and we would rather not comment further on it."

Obasanjo Blasts Eedris Abdulkarem Again

For those who thought former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s anger towards Nigerian rapper, Eidris Abdulkarem’s 2004 hit song, “Nigeria jaga jaga”, has subsided and gone with the years goofed because the dust is yet to settle on the matter.
The two time president of Nigeria  while speaking at a forum organized by Nigeria Leadership Initiative (NLI)in Lagos on Tuesday, condemned the attitude of our modern day youth towards Nigeria.
Still so embittered over Abdulkareem’s hit track, which ruled the airwaves in 2004, Baba, as many would call him affirmed that it shows that the singer doesn’t believe in future of the country.
While lamenting the rate of corruption and suffering of the masses, Obasanjo maintained that with such mind set our youths are carried away with so much venom and hatred for their country.
According to him, “One of the worst problems Nigeria is facing is disbelief. Nigerians no longer believe in themselves neither do they believe in their country. That takes me back to that song ‘jaga jaga’. How could a sane man dare to call his country jajajaja? It is the height of blasphemy. We are grooming our youths for tomorrow’s leadership and with such persons I don’t think the country can move forward.
Concretely put, leadership connotes ability to inspire, direct, move, motivate, propel and encourage others positively to the targeted end. It is simply the ability to lead others.
An effective leader strives to avoid failure by guarding against inability to organize details, unwillingness to render humble services, fear of competition from followers, lack of imagination, selfishness, intemperance, living on rumors and gossips, favoritism and nepotism, emphasis on title and authority, excessive stress and burn out. He must also remember that leadership is an interaction between the characteristics of the leader himself and the characteristics of the situation in which leadership takes place.”
Conclusively, the Ota farmer buttressed that, “leadership should be a relay race and not an obstacle race.”

Female Celebrities Who Are Single Parents

Faithia Balogun

This beautiful script interpreter is without doubt a delight to watch anytime; the news of her separation from her movie actor cum producer husband raised some dust which is gradually subsiding, and it is a common knowledge that she has had a baby with another man before she decided to settle down with Saheed whom she adopted his name. Sources claimed her union with Saheed was an after-thought as she had initially declined the actor's advances, preferring a London-based lover who she had a child for before coming back for Saheed. It was even alleged that they were not officially married but that she decided to adopt his name so as to cover the mistake of not having proper wedding before making babies together. The union which has since broken down completely over issues relating to infidelity has returned her to the status of single parent Nigerian celebrity.

Iyabo Ojo
It is no secret that Iyabo has been a single mother for many years, story has it that she lived with a guy years back who fathered her children, a boy and a girl. Though many believe the children are the result of a marriage she entered into while she was still very young, others argue it is a result of a fling she decided to have to have children before going after her career in the movie industry. She has over the years been linked with many men both within and outside the movie industry, but Iyabo has always been evasive when the issue of marriage is pushed to her and she has always been frank about the fact that she has children she cares so much about.
Tayo Odueke (Sikiratu Sindodo)

She's one of the Nigerian celebrities who has been very cautious about mentioning the child they had out of wedlock, hardly has she ever given a mention to the fact that she has a daughter or that she's a single parent, rather Tayo is seen by her fans as a young lady that has never experienced the joy of motherhood before. When she was the apple of the eyes of one time leader of Oshodi branch of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), the child's name was kept out of everything the chubby Yoruba actress did since she came to limelight and it is the belief of her many fans that she's still without any kid. Sikiratu Sindodo as Tayo is called is another of the numerous Nigerian celebrities that are single parents.

Gloria Doyle

Madam controversy could be the right word to qualify boobs flaunting Gloria, she declared not too long ago that she's still not interested in settling down. The busty woman who claims to be a gospel musician and later a pastor of a church in Ogba axis of Lagos is the mother of a grown-up girl who she had while she was still very young and she has since then been living as a single mother, even when she has suitors that are ready to walk her down the aisle, she stuck to her single status which gives her freedom to take any man she so desires at any time.

Waje

She shot to prominence when she was featured by the singing duo of P Square in their 2005 hit Do Me; the performance then encouraged the twins to allow her do a lady version of their Omoge Mi song; she has also been featured by Banky W and M.I. at different occasions. Born Aituaje Aina Vivian Ebele Iruobe, commonly known as WAJE which is the acronym for “Words aren't just enough”, Waje has a love child she which she's not hiding but not also really exposing to the press. The secret of the 10-year-old daughter became public knowledge in 2011 and the talented songstress has never denied the existence of the child which is the result of an affair the pretty lady had many years back, though she's still very single and not really into any form of relationship, but she is of the belief she will settle down as time goes on.

Genevieve

Her case is the most talked about of the Nigerian celebrities that have children, and it is attributed to the fact that she was at a time the most sought after Nigerian actress, Genevieve Nnaji's love child story is one that arouse heated arguments anytime it is mentioned, some are of the opinion that the father took advantage of her while she was still too young to make proper decision, others are of the opinion that she knows what she's doing. The daughter who the actress will want to protect at all cost from public glare was conceived when she was still in secondary school and she has since been taking care of the child who close pals described as her life even when she will not have anything to do with the father ever again.

Alex Lopez

She is probably one of the very few celebrities that will talk about the children they have out of wedlock openly with no sign of regret, Alex Lopez is always happy to talk about her son Joshua, whom she had for her lover years back. Although, the relationship did not last, she is ever grateful for the joy of motherhood that the relationship afforded her and she's not ashamed to talk about the product of the botched relationship, even when she's still in the market shopping for prospective husband.

Funke Etti

She was one of the regular faces in the Yoruba click of the Nigerian movie industry some time ago, Funke Etti was at a time thought to be having an affair with Itele, another actor in the Yoruba movie industry, but she denied anything of such stating that they only had a working relationship. Recently she joined the league of Nigerian celebrities who have children out of wedlock when she delivered a bouncing baby boy, the naming which the father was conspicuously missing. Sources even claimed she's still single as the person responsible for the pregnancy has not performed any marriage rite on her, which admits her into the league of Nigeria single parent celebrities.

Grace Amah

This petite light-skinned actress who acts in both Yoruba and English speaking movies had a child last year for someone people say is happily married though she came out to debunk that stating that she would soon be getting married to the father of her baby boy. Marriage apart she has successfully earned herself a place in the group of celebrities with children out of wedlock and some pessimists are still of the opinion that the marriage may not be a thing that will be happening this year.
Bisola Badmus

She disappeared from the screen sometime back only for her arrival to be announced with a bouncing baby boy. Bisola Badmus who has acted in many Yoruba films had her naming ceremony recently and like Funke Etti, the father of her child was absent. Sources however have it that the father is a popular fuji musician and that the musician did not want his name to be mentioned in the whole scenario as he had informed the actress of his desire for her not to have the baby, while the actress insisted she would be having it. Though the christening was done with funfair, all efforts to get the identity of the father from the actress proved futile as the actress has joined the league of Nigerian celebrities that are single parents.

Omawunmi Megbele

Her story was like a comedy, Omawunmi Megbele was at a time dating her producer Dokta Frabz and before one can say hello, she had entered into another relationship with a man who was said to be having a steady relationship with another woman, it was along the line she took in and news of her pregnancy started like rumour. When it became obvious, questions started arising as to the father of her child and it was at that period she released the song “If You Ask Me”; the people who have been asking the paternity question about her baby girl then assumed she released the song to answer the question of the child's paternity. Her fling that turned into pregnancy made Omawunmi one of the numerous Nigerian celebrities who are single parents.

Ibinabo Fiberisima

Sultry actress Ibinabo Fiberisima, has enjoyed lots of controversies and the former beauty queen turned actress can be said to be one actress who can't have enough of the wrong men. She was at a time dating tall actor and ex-husband of television talk show gal Fred Amata, a relationship many of Ibinabo's friends thought would lead to the altar, but just as it started it was brought to an abrupt end with no cogent reason, but not without the actress having a child for the actor which brings to three the number of children she has had out of wedlock. She had had two children before that of Fred for men nobody can really say the way they look. The actress who contested to be the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria in the botched election is said to have a flair for having children for different men, which is evident with the number of men she has had children for in a short while.

Murder Of Gen’s Daughter: Time Now For An All-Embracing Cyber Crime Law

Certainly, most news conscious Nigerians must have remained attached, one way or the other, to their favourite sources of information ever since the news broke of how Cynthia Osokogu was murdered.

Murders occur everyday all over the world, but a bewildering dimension to the unfortunate incident is that the merchants of death chose to pick their victims from the social media.
In recent times, with the explosion of GSM telephony services in Nigeria, which saw many networks upgrading their services, social media like Facebook and Twitter overnight became commonplace, and it’s now common to hear refrains like “I’ll link you up on Facebook,” or “That tweet from you was natty,”etc.
Now that handheld devices, especially smart phones are ubiquitous, it is now commonplace to see people, especially youths permanently glued to their devices, in buses, eateries, in aircraft — anyplace — chatting or browsing from one site to the other.
With billions of people on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and others, trillions of words and billions of images are flying through cyberspace every second as multitudes communicate, chatting, sending SMS and MMS. Cyberspace now is the fifth common domain after land, sea, air, and outer space.
There are all kinds of laws in various countries of the world with the sole purpose of regulating how we all interact with each other on land. Also, there are admiralty laws governing conduct on the seas, and uses of the sea. Same thing for the air, as military and civil aviation practitioners will testify. Countries with the necessary technological wherewithal that have generated interest in outer space are also active in this domain.
What makes cyberspace unique is that it is an arena where there is no restriction on access to anybody, who has a computer or handheld device.
Further, all nationalities and languages spoken worldwide are active in cyberspace as well, with people saying or doing just what they like. Even things people cannot say to each other physically are communicated through the ethereal world of telecommunications. It is also a domain where ‘respect for others’ does not exist.
In short, cyberspace is a no man’s land where hackers, scammers, identity thieves, abusers and a whole new breed of anti-social elements operate, and whose activities are giving governments worldwide monstrous headaches. Serious governments have enacted laws on cyber crime, while Police forces and departments have long ago set up cyber squads.
Now, in Nigeria, murderers have started using cyberspace to snare their victims. Crime is unlawful conduct with a stipulated penalty. When such crime is committed with devices that access cyberspace, it becomes cyber crime. Where is our anti-cyber crime law?

EXPOSED: Reckless Lifestyles Of Nollywood Actress (PART 1)

According to what Movietainment Magazine reported, the movie industry in Nigeria, popularly called Nollywood, is filled with different sex controversies that have been circulated in the media and in social circles in town. Many referred to Nollywood as the most scandalous industry in the entertainment sector, especially with the activities of most of the actresses. Scandals ranging from husband snatching to sexual immorality are synonymous with Nollywood acts, and this has affected the image of many Nigerian actors and actresses. That is why we decided to bring you the first part of an exposition on the reckless lifestyles of some Nollywood actresses in this edition.

Mercy Johnson

Mercy Johnson has always been in the news even before her controversial wedding to Edo big boy, Prince Odi Okojie on Saturday, August 27, 2011. The lady hit the news headlines when she was pictured exposing her private part at an event. It was obvious in the photograph that she did not wear pant or bra. Her wedding became an issue, which was feasted on by the print media as she was alleged to have snatched another person's husband as revealed by one Lovelyn, a supposed wife of Prince Okojie. Mercy Johnson is one actress with scandalous sexual controversies.

Ini Edo

Another name on the list is that of Inibong Edobong, better known as Ini Edo. Ini is one Nollywood actress that is synonymous with sex scandals in the industry. Her wedding was a bit controversial after she was believed to have snatched Philip Ehiagwina from society lady, Ruth Okoro. She was once rumoured to be having a romantic affair with a governor in the South-South region of Nigeria. Also recently, she was reported to have left a club with another man.

Tonto Dikeh

Tonto Dikeh is unarguably the most controversial Nollywood actress. The beautiful lady has always been in the news since her emergence in the movie industry in 2006. She was recently alleged to have been paid N5million for sex by the Managing Director of Sifax, Mr. Taiwo Afolabi. Tonto is also noted for being a lover of tattoo as she has more than 57 designs on her body. One other thing about this lady is that she is a heavy smoker, and she once had a brawl with Van Vicker on a movie set in 2011.

Iyabo Ojo

One of the best hands in the Yoruba genre of Nollywood, Iyabo Ojo is not new to negative stories. It was reported that a top Lagos politician and former Senator gave her the Range Rover SUV she is cruising around town. Her bitter fight with colleague, Lizzy Anjorin was almost becoming monumental until some industry heavyweights stepped in to broker peace between the two beautiful actresses. Apart from that, the controversial actress has been involved in several sex scandals and she was once reported to have been caught having sex with a man at the back seat of a car in London.

Funke Akindele

Until her recent wedding to Oshodi big boy, Alhaji Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, Funke was really an actress with many sex scandals. She was alleged to have fought with one of her colleagues on a movie set in 2011 over a man. Some have also rumoured that she had escapades with some notable men before her marriage, which held with funfare on May 26, 2012. Her wedding to Almaroof also became controversial as she was reported to be going into Almaroof's life as a third wife.
Genevieve Nnaji

Genny, as sexy Genevieve Nnaji is fondly called, has been romantically linked with several actors in Nollywood. Ramsey Nouah, RMD, Pat Attah and others are some of the men she was rumoured to have dated. Genevieve was once said to have dated a topmost politician in Nigeria, apart from other alleged sexcapades here and there. Though she has become the face of a popular vehicle manufacturer, her sex life in the industry can never be easily forgotten in a hurry.

Tayo Odueke (Sikiratu Sindodo)

Not many know Tayo Odueke by her real name, she is better known and addressed as Sikiratu Sindodo, a name she got from one of her movie flicks. One of her most popular scandals was her hot romance with a leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Oshodi, Lagos, Musiliu Akinsanya also known as MC Oluomo. Oluomo was even said to have sent her to Saudi Arabia for holy pilgrimage.
She was also rumoured to have dated actor and producer, Kunle Afod. Just few months ago, there gist went round town that she was having an affair with younger brother of Kunle Afolayan, Aremu which she has profusely denied. She is presently rumoured to be in a sizzling romance with top Fuji artiste, Malaika.

Stella Damasus

Nollywood beautiful actress, Stella Damasus is seen by many as the industry 'good girl' until she was alleged to have caused the separation of fellow actress, Doris Simeon with her hubby, Daniel Ademinokan. Stella was reported to have started a love affair with Daniel before his marriage with Simeon crashed. Her secret was exposed by a soft sell magazine, which reported that Doris was ready to fight Stella for snatching her hubby. There were also reports that both Daniel and Stella have been seen together in some compromising ways. Though Stella and Daniel have denied having any amorous relationship, but some are still in doubt that their closeness is a business affair.

Bukky Wright

Her failed marriages and romantic affairs with some big wigs in the industry have been a thing for many to feed on. Bukky Wright's pretty looks has attracted many men to her. The mother of two is surely not free from some scandals associated with the play-acting profession in Nigeria. She has been severally alleged of hoping from one bed to another.

Faithia Balogun

This estranged wife of top Nollywood actor, Saidi Balogun, Faithia is surely also not free of some scandals in Nollywood. She was once rumoured to have fought her colleague in the Yoruba movie industry over a young Ibadan politician, Rotimi Ajanaku. She was rumoured to have alleged that the lady snatched Ajanaku from her. She was once reported to be in sizzling romance with the Director of Corporate Pictures, Alhaji Abdullahi Razak. Stephanie Okereke Shoots Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF)-Based Movie

Prolific make-believe queen, Stephanie Okereke Idahosa is presently on location shooting her new movie titled 'Dry'. The sexy screen goddess is focussing on Vesico Vaginal Fistula, which is very common among women in the Northern part of Nigeria.

According to her, "This is a cause I am very passionate about. I have been to the North and to other parts of the country, and I have seen first-hand how this health issue defies normal living for girls and women of different ages.
"I have decided to share their stories through 'DRY'. It journeys into the heart-wrenching details of a culture not too many films dare to explore. The issue might seem controversial, but if it will set one girl free and open the minds of the people, and also instruct different bodies and individuals to take action, then the movie would have served its purpose."
VVF is caused by leakages of urine and faeces through the vagina. It is rampant in the north due to the forced marriage girls at the age of 11 are made to go through. This causes a cut in their vagina during labour as a result of their small pelvics.

Auto Dealer To Sue Davido, Dad For Assault

Controversial singer, Davido has no doubt carved a niche for himself in the music industry within the short period he came into the Nigerian music scene. Stardom is said to be the most difficult aspect of the industry that most of the artistes failed to handle well as they all loom from one controversy to the other and Davido's situation is not exceptional. In fact, Davido's character is allegedly worse to the extent that some people in the industry refer to him as a spoilt brat. The recent news we got about the rave of the moment whose album launch was said to be a flop is that he instructed his bodyguard to beat up a taxi driver.
We gathered from a reliable source that, Davido did not only beat the hell out of the driver but also seized his car key for several months before he released it when the police got involved in the case.

It was, however, said that, the taxi driver named Ajibola Femi was admitted at General Hospital for several weeks after he was mercilessly beaten by Davido’s bodyguard.

In order to establish the true picture of the story, we called the taxi driver and he explained what happened and the reason why they seized his car key, saying “It is true that I was beaten by Davido and his bodyguard and it happened on July 1st. I had a call from a girl that she needed my service, I don’t know her but you know that customers introduce us to their friends as their cabman. When I got to her place, I picked her with a friend and we went to Lekki Phase1 to pick another girl called Sekinat. From there, they all left to another hotel inside Lekki Phase1 to pick another girl making four girls.

After that, we all faced Victoria Island. When we got to Beni Apartment in Victoria Island off Adeola Hopewell, Susan asked me to wait without telling me their mission at the hotel, so I waited. Suddenly, Susan ran out from the hotel telling me to open the door, while I was trying to open the door, Davido also ran out from the hotel and started beating the girl but the girl insisted I should move the car. Before I knew it, Davido gave me a hot slap and with the help of his bodyguard they hit and kicked me severally and twisted my hand to collect my car key. All I was telling them was that I knew nothing about what was going on, that I’m only a taxi driver. They didn’t listen to me; instead they all entered their car and drove away with my car keys. All the effort of the hotel security personnel to curb the situation was futile. Immediately, I tried to report the case to the police but they said it was late, so I took cab back to our park and I slept inside a friend’s car before going to Bar Beach police station to report.

In my quest to get my car keys, I tried all I could till I got Davido’s number. I tried to call him that he should give me my car key, that I’m ready to bear the damages because I’m still making installment on the car since I took it on hired purchase. In fact, I sent him text messages but he didn’t reply. At the station, after I wrote my statement, they gave me one IPO called Sergeant Nurudeen with a lady and we both went to those ladies’ house. When we got there, the initial agreement was to invite those girls for questioning but when the police officers spoke with the girls’ aunty, the whole thing changed and the police officer was asking me whether they are the ones that took my car key. At the same spot, the policeman used one of those girls’ phone to call Davido which he picked but all he was saying was that ‘do you know who my father is’, telling the policeman why he is threatening him. The police told him they were not there to arrest him but to state his own side of the story but he insisted he won’t see them. The N100,000 I was supposed to give my dealer was inside the car but when I got to the car, I couldn’t find it again and someone has detached the car tape and other things. I reported to the IPO in charge because I was supposed to send N100,000 to my car dealer the same day that incident happened which I couldn’t do because of the scenario. After all effort to see Davido to get my car key proved abortive, I was allowed to see the DPO and I explained everything that transpired between me and Davido and he was surprised why the IPO in charge of the case could not arrest a small boy who seized someone’s car key for weeks. My mind was at rest, I heard the response of the DPO but someone called me on the 12th of July, she called herself Sharon Adeleke, that I should come to 1004 Estate, Victoria Island to collect my car key and I told her that I can’t come because of the bodyguard I saw that day. So, I told her to take the key to the police station that the case is already with the police. Since then, I’ve not heard anything from them until recently that the car dealer intervened and they called me to come and get my car key. I was surprised because I reported what lost inside the car and how they dismantled my car. You can’t just give me the key and expect me to collect it from you. In fact, they can’t bring the boy to the station to write his own statement. I left the IPO’s office without collecting the key. ” the taxi driver concluded.

We spoke with the taxi driver boss, Mr. Azeez Oladimeji Ashiru who gave the car to the driver if truly he is aware of the situation; he said “Yes, I’m aware because I called him on the day he promised to pay me the initial payment. And he promised to pay later in the day that he had issue with one artiste who I’m less concerned about, my own is to get my money. I’m not after what happened between them and the customer. I waited for several days without any response. He now narrated the whole story to me. When I heard that, I went to the police station to see what we could do to settle things without causing any harm to both parties involved. After I waited for weeks and I could not get the money and the car back, I went to see the IPO Sergeant Nurudeen Umaru with a female inspector. We both went to the hotel to inspect the car. After the inspection, we decided to call the girl that called herself Sharon Adeleke and the lady said that she would send a driver to bring the car key and N20,000. The police officer asked her if the N20,000 is for him or the driver because he’s not too sure of their intention and he does not want to be trapped because of the people involved. The policeman accepted the suggestion and they fixed the following day. So, the driver that was supposed to bring the car key with N20,000 gave the IPO excuses. The second day, I think the IPO was disturbing him and the driver got provoked and asked what is so special about the key and the police officer explained to him. He categorically told the policeman that he won’t come, the agreement was that if they could not get Davido, they will detain Sharon’s driver and all of them will show up but now that the driver has refused to show up, the IPO suggested that we should arrest the boy on the day of his album launch at Eko Hotel and Suites. I suggested that we should inform the DPO before taking such action, going by the caliber of people involved. So, I went to the DPO to explain what happened and he told me that I was not supposed to be briefing him; that the IPO is the one in a better position to do that. After all, he has given order to get Davido arrested. So, the DPO sent for the IPO and challenge him on why he could not arrest the boy; asking if the boy is so big that he could not be arrested. The boy told them firmly that he cannot come to the station, that mere calling him to the station is a threat to his life and he asked if they know his father since he always asks them if they know who his father is. I told the DPO who his father is, Deji Adeleke. He asked if it’s the same Sherubawon’s brother and I said yes. Immediately, he said ‘is it that same David, that he knows him as a stubborn boy, he used to be very tough; in fact, he does not have regard for his father, that it was both him and the DPO of Maroko police station that intervened in the crisis between Davido and his father when Davido said he will stop schooling and his father insisted on education before going into music. It was as a result of their intervention that his father built a studio worth N40million in his residence”, the DPO concluded. I got that information for the first time from the DPO. At once, he scrolled his phone and called the man twice before the man now called back. Though, I didn’t hear what the man was telling the DPO. To my surprise, the DPO trivialized the issue at that point, “that it was just a small issue between Davido and a friend but he’s on top of it and he has sorted it out. Davido mistakenly took his car key so that’s what we are waiting for sir. Just to get the key but it is a minor issue and there is nothing to worry about” DPO said. I wasn’t happy with what the DPO said because I didn’t hear the other man. And how can you trivialize the issue when you have the opportunity to speak with his father. Instead of him to tell the man what the boy had done and how he ordered his bodyguard to beat a taxi driver and the issue of missing money, he did not mention all these things. This guy is using the car as cab and that’s what he’s using to feed his family and he has stopped working for over a month. When we got to the station with the driver, you won’t believe what the DPO told us, he asked whether the driver has ever seen N100,000 in his life.”

Meanwhile, we contacted Valerie, Davido’s publicist to respond to the issue. He said: “The recording artiste, Davido has no knowledge of any incident resulting in the assault of a taxi driver or the illegal seizure of his car key. Davido does not condone violence of any sort and will not be commenting further on this untrue allegation".

However, Mr. Ashiru has contacted his lawyer to sue both Davido and his father for assault and illegal seizure of car key.
